The Linchester Collection
In the small town of Linchester, near Preston Maryland, there is a historical flour mill which is in the process of being restored. Capt. Frank Langrell was the last owner and operator of the mill . Langrell's mill ceased operation in the early 1970's when the dam was washed out during a storm. The mill had been honored as being the oldest continuously operating business in the country and until the destruction of the dam, the pond and "gatehole" were popular fishing spots. Local families enjoyed swimming in the mill pond in the summers and skating in the winters.
